Linux annoyance

Hideho; this is my first internetworking post, and it's actually a question.
I'm setting up a Slackware v7.0 computer at my work. However, during the install, I said I wanted the framebuffer option (to make Xwindows look better). But whenever I boot up the computer says I'm passing it a bad screen dimension. What file do I need to edit to fix the framebuffer?
